- hexo 5y agoRemoving the main and most important feature on a laptop is surely a good-move. What about AMD?
- ayushnix 5y ago> What about AMD? Good news, suspend resume has been broken on my AMD ThinkPad, at least for me, since kernel version 5.10 came out although it didn't really work reliably before either. Whenever, I dare enter systemctl suspend, my screen goes blank, fans start spinning at the highest speed. A hard reboot is needed at that point. The journal is filled with these error messages. [drm:amdgpu_ib_ring_tests [amdgpu]] ERROR IB test failed on gfx (-22) EDIT: Looks the author of the blog post isn't able to do suspend resume on his AMD ThinkPad T495 either, which is good news.
