As someone who owns 6 bikes, been car-free for years, and uses them as his main mode of transportation, I've decided that be best bike one can buy as a daily driver is a Brompton. They come with fenders, racks, dynamo lights, and internal gear hubs. It checks all the boxes of a "dutch bike" but it's light and portable... so portable that you can take it as carry-on onto an airplane or bus. You can take it into the supermarket and use it as a shopping cart. Hell, they even make electric ones.
