Monthly cycles of faux fasting prevent obesity in unhealthy mice
- kaminar 5y agoActual fasting (and dry fasting) works...keep in mind there is no such thing as fasting for less than 24 hrs. If you eat once per day or more, you are not fasting...period. Intermittent fasting is typically for 48 or 72 hr fasts, with a short window for eating (6 hrs) afterward, then rinse and repeat. As above, there is no such thing as intermittent fasting for less than 24 hrs. The "snake diet" on YouTube is quite effective. Weight loss and body healing begin after approximately 3 days without food, when ketosis is reached, and the digestive system is no longer hogging up critical systems and blood flow. Ketosis is a wonderful thing...it allows your body to heal itself in many ways. Water only diets are typically not good beyond 3 days, because your body needs salt (not glucose)...without the specific salts used in the snake diet, you'll truly feel awful. Water + salts = success. The hardest part is not the lack of food, but what to do with the immense amount of free time gained, due to lack of food prep, earring and cleaning up afterward. Do it. Fast to ketosis and discover something wonderful.
