I don't want to minimize the damage caused by Covid-19 over the past year. But I think cardiovascular diseases probably killed more police officers over the past year.

Not according to the actual statistics that are available on that page. And if you look at 2017, 2018, 2019, deaths ranged from 150-180. 2020 and 2021 they've jumped to over 350 (and 2021 isn't over yet). So it isn't even, as someone who at least clicked the link might suggest, Cardiovascular disease being presented as COVID.
