If twenty years ago you had told me, "One day we'll live in a world where the NY Post is a more intellectually honest and insightful paper than the NY Times", I'd have laughed in your face, but here we are.

- mao1002 5y agoYou'll also find many investigative stories in the Daily Mail, which was considered yellow press 20 years ago. For example, it was the first to feature the story about Prof. Abbot's lecture cancellation at MIT. The woke press simply no longer covers these stories.
- 1270018080 5y agoYou have to chuckle at someone calling the New York Times woke. --- Semi related, but to anyone reading, is there a word for someone's "personal Overton window"? Like when someone's window is so far right that they call CNN communist propaganda?
- tharne 5y agoThe NYT isn't woke per se, it's simply the newspaper of the establishment, which is exactly what it always has been. The establishment happens to be woke at the moment. When that changes, I'm sure the NYT will change with it. The same way they went from cheerleaders of the Iraq war to champions of the "Resistance".
