I agree. I prefer i3wm with Ubuntu to macOS, but its just not feasible when I am developing iOS. Macbook hardware is also rock solid. My previous Macbook Air had 0 failures over 3 years, but something on my XPS breaks every year. The only things I haven't replaced at this point are the motherboard and screen. I would seriously consider the frame.work laptop as well, but I need XCode. I might buy the frame.work laptop in a year or two.
