Was this a journal entry inadvertently made public? It lacks any sense rigor, which is vital to making a point compelling. He’s merely jumping from one conclusion to the next, trusting that his audience is of like mind and devoid critical thought. How is this appeal in any way superior to the orthodoxy he’s so quick to condemn? Judging by this piece, it’s obvious that he’s hardly qualified to be a spokesperson for “progress”
- Emma_Goldman 5y agoI have read a lot of interwar British political writing. That was the style, unfortunately. I am always amazed how badly most of the leading thinkers of the age - just a hundred years ago - wrote.
