As far as I understand immudb is just a tamperproof ledger. Unlike blockchains used by cryptocurrencies it doesn’t need proof of work or stake to do achieve consensus and so the artificial limits that are required to make consensus possible don’t apply here.
There are some benchmarks at the end of the readme.
> immudb can handle millions of writes per second. The following table shows performance of the embedded store inserting 1M entries on a machine with 4-core E3-1275v6 CPU and SSD disk:
And they give an example of writing 1M records with 100 workers in 0.6s coming at 1.6M (million) transactions per second.

Even though it’s really unfair to compare to immudb to any blockchain it’s still fun to do, so…
Comparing immudb’s 1.6M tps to bitcoin’s 4.6 (just 4.6, not million) tps is laughable. Ethereum does a bit better at 30 tps. Ethereum 2.0 will do an impressive (sic) 2k tps. I remember EOS was promising insane numbers of something like 4k tps and NEO 10k but not sure if either ever did so.
Anyway, these are very different technologies and usecases and it’s really not fair to compare. So can we please rename this thread to remove the question?
