Nice comparison! There is an impressive amount of considerations in the rule book. Glove dimensions on PDF-page 16 are visually pleasing somehow. And then this rule which I had to look up some more info about:
> 3.02 No player shall intentionally discolor or damage the ball by rubbing it with soil, rosin, paraffin, licorice, sand-paper, emery-paper or other foreign substance.
Huh, licorice? Apparently it was simply used to dirty up the ball so it was nearly impossible to see.

- lostlogin 5y agoI wonder who did that. Having a seemingly crazy rule added due to one’s behaviour seems like a bit of a badge of honour.
- AlbertCory 5y agoOnly if they name the rule after you! Examples? I'm thinking there must be some. The Buster Posey rule about sliding into home? (I don't think they call it that.) The George Brett rule about corked bats? (Ditto)
