Aspirin lowers risk of Covid: New findings support preliminary Israeli trial
- WalterGR 5y agoNo. Aspirin lowers the risks of COVID - i.e. once you get it. The "risk of COVID" means the chance of getting COVID, which this trial says nothing about.
- lborsato 5y agoFrom the study: “Aspirin use was associated with lower likelihood of COVID-19 infection, as compared to nonusers” https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33621437/ https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33621437/
- WalterGR 5y agoWhoops. From the submitted article: “...they found that aspirin carried immunological benefits and that the group taking it was 29% less likely to become infected with the virus in the first place.” Not sure how I missed that. Thanks for the correction.
