Diablo II: Resurrected Outages: An Explanation
- jimmydorry 5y agoMy props to the D2R team for this detailed explanation. I rarely see a proper breakdown and explanation of issues causing downtime to a game, especially while mitigation is still under way. Too many companies hide behind a PR-friendly non-explanation, and I expected the Diablo 2 Resurrected Team to do the same (being Activision-Blizzard and all). If this were one of their big title releases though, I bet such a post would not have happened.
- zemo 5y agoThere's not much content on HN about game servers, and as a game server engineer, I was curious to see a discussion amongst engineers about these outage notes by Blizzard.
