Recently, I had to submit a bunch of information (name, address, DOB) into a Google Forms page in order to request a COVID-19 vaccine CDC card from my state’s health department. This Google Form was run by a contractor for the state’s health department and was misconfigured to allow viewing all previous responses after submitting. One click on “view previous responses” on the post-submission Google Forms page and you can view everyone else’s names, addresses, DOBs, and information like which vaccine they received and in what arm. I almost didn’t report it, since the kind of shit as described in the link above gets reported so regularly. But I did, and it got fixed quickly. Now I’m just sat here hoping I don’t get served a lawsuit next week by some idiot hoping to cover their ass and make me out to be some kind of malicious actor. (Advice welcome...)
