- tuatoru 5y agoI'll take a dozen Fukushimas every year (deaths from radiation: 1; deaths from evacuation stress: 273) over the hundreds of thousands killed every year by air pollution from coal burning.
- goatlover 5y agoIt's wild how a couple of nuclear incidents so horrified the public imagination, when in reality the death toll and pollution from more conventional energy sources is magnitudes worse than nuclear.
- guscost 5y agoWell, that was a tsunami that killed ~10,000 people, so maybe not exactly like Fukushima.
