We got bit by the Let's Encrypt root cert expiry. I knew it was coming but based on what I had read and the stats of our users I expected the impact to be slim to none. We used it for some of our support domains, but not the primary ones. Then Sept 30th hit and everything else hit the fan. Thankfully we were able to get another cert provider to issue a replacement within 8 hours but our customer service team hated us for most of that day.
