- clairity 5y agoback in the day, i built my own blog in php[0], while my friend built an ssg for hers (using perl no less). i scoffed at the time, but seeing how things turned out, it seems she gets the last laugh. perhaps the difference is not so large now that cdn's are a dime a dozen. [0]: after seeing and deriding the code for wordpress. another, much bigger, last laugh there too.
