If you installed ALL packages from npm, yum or pip, I wouldn't be surprised if 70% contains significant bugs or won't even start. Afterall, I published like 5 of them out of about 2 weeks worth of work and never looked at them again. But it's not that 70% that matters, it's the stable branch OS that you're running. It's the science that has been there for decades, that is the backbone of that faith.
