‘Trust the science’ is something generally said by people trying to get others to abide by their demands. In my experience there’s usually nothing scientific behind what they’re requesting. I see it said constantly where I live when people question the efficacy of some of the harshest COVID restrictions in the world including 9pm-5am curfews. For some it’s as though the utterances of our politicians have become ‘The Science’ in which we must believe.
