If you want to install the Windows release[0] silently in a script, then use this (where X.Y.Z is the version number):
.\Rancher.Desktop.Setup.X.Y.Z.exe /S --force-run --allusers
It took me an hour to figure out the necessary arguments until I learned about some Electron-specific behavior in the installer[1].

- 1MachineElf 5y ago* I had this wrong. It's just: Rancher.Desktop.Setup.0.6.0.exe /S The --force-run option you specifically don't want for a silent install. Also, the --allusers option doesn't work.
