This type of failure could conceivably knock us-east-1 down, but I think it could be pretty easy to recover (precarious update? roll back!). I think Bray is considering total obliteration of the us-east-1.
- padolsey 5y agoYeh fair. I wonder what duration of outage would cause a spiral of the mentioned economic and social effects. I'm sure a fix made within a few days would not set the course of the economy on a different path but it's interesting to consider what duration or degree of an outage would.
