Can confirm: no release valve = even worse depression.
- zdragnar 5y agoMost antidepressants really do take several weeks (4-6) to "work". I use quotes there because we don't really understand how or why they work, and there is more to alleviating depression than taking a pill. Cognitive behavioral therapy, developing a healthy routine, and alleviating environmental stressors are also important. That said, I do so much better with all of that plus lexapro that I dont know if I'll ever stop taking it.
