I would guess that any criticism would be called out as transphobic. That isn't something most people would be ok with being labeled. Even more difficult is the fact that I have no clue how to prove that I am not transphobic. What proofs exist that are compelling beyond my own claims? What if no one is brave enough to defend me? This difficulty (proving one's innocence in a public forum) is scary.
