How to change your default browser in Windows 11
- ddingus 5y agoThis should not have to be a discussion... Personally, I'm viewing all this with a very jaded eye. General purpose computing is one of the things keeping the Internet as open as it currently is. It's obvious Win 11 is the release intended for others to trust you, and that trust will be based on things you can't do.
- siproprio 5y agoWait, are they really resetting the browser on forced automatic updates? With every update, users need to get more paranoid about Microsoft's software because they're unintentionally incompetent about ethical standards... The other people here were discussing and complaining that in the last version vs code engineers accidentally forgot to be careful about privacy and telemetry by default... But don't worry microsoft cares about your privacy there are lots of toggles and switches here: https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-US/ https://privacy.microsoft.com/en-US/
- siproprio 5y agoat apple there are no toggles and switches to worry about: https://www.apple.com/privacy/ https://www.apple.com/privacy/
