PBS and NPR are not government owned or controlled. A more apt comparison would probably be Voice of America.
- darkerside 5y agoPBS was a bad example, as I thought it was more similar to NPR. NPR is not a perfect example, but was founded through an act of Congress and is operated by public institutions. BBC is probably a better example. I'm thinking of domestic media.
