Or perhaps not, depending on the politics of your Sheriff. In many rural counties where these laws aren't reality it's not because the government doesn't know, it's because it doesn't enforce.
(Of course this same thing happens in cities - just with different laws.)

- syvolt 5y agoNo, that generally just means they're forced to take action (ie. investigate to confirm the suit or complaint). For the most part these are municipal laws handled by local law enforcement - the more rural you get the more likely it's just Dave that you've known your whole life that investigates and finds nothing problematic.
