I pretty much tune out any article that starts out "studies show". When it comes to soft metrics like "productivity", studies show whatever you want them to show. How many studies never saw the light of day because the result was uninteresting, or ran counter to the narrative the study's author wanted to put out? Just say "there is evidence to suggest" instead.
