  That's why I never watch those hearings or read whatever empty words these people say. Only care about actions. The hearings have pretty much become a way for politicians to grandstand for cameras and partisan politics while the CEOs get to lie and make untrue claims without any consequences. Actions > Words.

    True, but has this ever not been the case? Pols and Execs alike want great (or at least not bad) sound bites. They perform on an act on a stage.

      I think it has accelerated in the last 5-10 years because of Twitter and other social media. I do not think the hearings such as the Church Committee Hearings are possible now a days.

  This is like saying that a restaurant owner should consider that his patrons would be happier if their meals were all free. One can take pride in a product while also placing stipulations on it's use.
