The real question is how the hypothetical caring human fares against infrequent visits from a compassion-fatigued and sleep-deprived resident nurse, or a genuinely caring parent who's stressed and similarly sleep deprived from working long hours to stave off bankruptcy and homelessness due to their child's medical expenses.
