Is this the “progressive” luxury we want?
- agomez314 5y agofirst of all, notice how the word "progressive" is now the cool word to use. Everything has to be progressive now: "progressive" politics, "progressive" cars, maybe soon we'll have "progressive" vacuum cleaners. Just comes to show how people will use the zeitgeist to their own personal advantage, and how many people will just swallow that up. Secondly, notice the housing being shown. Large, modern, away from the inner cities (even though the work the characters do have a large impact on them). Given the state of inner cities in the US nowadays and in California (where a lot of the this tech is being made), it seems damming that person with resources would invest much wealth to get away from them. Third, notice the absence of human interaction throughout. Lunch is delivered, music from the home is transferred to the car so as create a continuous bubble where all things heard and seen are pleasant to the character. These are only some observations I saw in this video. Many won't agree with them but here's my main point: we should use technology to bring people together and enable us to flourish as a society, not to create isolated individuals seeking to maximize their personal pleasure with the aid of it.
