VCs and preying on the weakest of our society with miserable wages and horrible work conditions for the benefit of a few tech bros and bourgeois, name a more iconic duo.
You can wait a full day for your groceries to be delivered. There is absolutely nothing that justifies full on immediate groceries delivery. As for the other comment that goes "your kid just took a dump", you do what we've always done: clean up your kid and take them to the shop.

Is there a long list of better jobs they could be doing that they are choosing not to because the VCs are all hypnotists? is it better for the weakest to sit around doing nothing all day? The VCs look like losers here too, they are making lousy returns on a lot of these ventures. The problem in the story is a weak economy that means people can't get good work, and the constant infusions of cash to people who make bad long term decisions (eg, the banks after the 2008 financial crisis).
- micromacrofoot 5y agoI'd prefer people to do nothing, yes. Spend time with their friends and families. Lots of good things have come from people doing nothing.
- bellyfullofbac 5y agoUber felt like it was robbing VCs and exploiting the working class to give the middle class cheaper and nicer taxi rides (my crystal ball predicts someone downthread moaning about how a taxi driver scammed them...).
