This prize is more about making a political statement about society or its values more than anything and more than the other of the Nobel prizes, which are similar but less so. They are always the most controversial, specially across a wide range of viewpoints. To me, they give an opportunity to critique your own values more than anything else.

> This prize is more about making a political statement about society or its values more than anything and more than the other of the Nobel prizes, which are similar but less so. The prize comes with money granted to the individuals and also the fame. If the committee wanted to make a statement they should stop giving prizes to people but only organizations for instance (which the committee does from time to time).
