I am the opposite of this, especially using manpages or the api docs and when I jump around to new things.
- GhettoComputers 5y agoHe mentions deep work and how distracting jumping around is. If you reference a lot, do you remember what you read or forget it as soon as you use it?
- abdabab 5y agoOften I’m copy pasting commands from documentation to terminal one by one as I’m trying new things. Whether I remember them or not doesn’t matter.
- GhettoComputers 5y agoThat’s the point I’m getting at. You don’t because your workflow isn’t deep work. I just partition a larger screen myself for the same work but I’m interested in slow deep work.
