Charitable take, but this is more like Lyft starting a free driver's ed. Graduates are expected to bootstrap their own successful games and programs in the Apple app store. Surely the 'inaugural class' will have its entries featured prominently - and I wish all the best to those creators - but to be clear, Apple isn't training engineers to whom it will furnish a salary, but rather investing in a future cut of their sales.
