Very odd.
- iammisc 5y agoThat's because the US is descending into authoritarianism and the nordic countries value freedom, economic and civil.
- bserge 5y agoOh please.
- Delk 5y agoThey're restricted in the sense that the health authorities stopped recommending a specific covid-19 vaccine for a particular demographic. That demographic -- young males under 30 -- are recommended and given a vaccine from another vendor (practically Pfizer) instead. That's rather different than the impression you might get from "these vaccines being restricted", or something similar.
- dingdongbing 5y agoThat's actually not true, people who got the first dose of moderna will not get a second one, and it's being stopped for all persons under 30, not just males. In practice it will be stopped for everyone above 30 as well. /Swede
- neuronexmachina 5y agoAlso interesting to note that each of the Nordic countries also has a vaccination rate higher than the US's: https://covid19.healthdata.org/finland?view=vaccinations&tab=compare https://covid19.healthdata.org/finland?view=vaccinations&tab...
- nojokes 5y agoModerna vaccine is not authorized for 12-17 olds in US. Has never been, so no need to restrict it.
