The use case for dynamo lights went away once LED lighting arrived - they add to much resistance.
- PaulDavisThe1st 5y agoDepends. Dynamos can also provide a nice little 5W charging system for USB accessories. If you're touring on a bicycle, a dynamo is a nice thing to have, and if you have it, you may as well power the lights with it. Also allows incredible lighting design since there doesn't need to be any significant battery storage in the lighting unit itself.
