I unfollowed everyone (manually) a couple of years ago and it was a big benefit - my feed was empty and it was great. However, Facebook has changed things over the last few months, my feed is now littered with recommendations of weird groups and content that I "might like".
- brokenmachine 5y agoSerious question, why use Facebook at all?
- Jenda_ 5y agoFor example, at the beginning of the pandemic, a famous biology professor was posting valuable information on his Facebook account. Reading the older posts and/or comments requires logging in. Another example, a local hiking club is cooperating planned trips via Facebook. If anyone wants to join, they have no other option (maybe they can persuade someone already joined to forward the information to them via other means).
