In my observation the less people pay you the less they will respect you, not more, despite whatever favor you think you’re doing for them.

- tweedledee 5y agoIt seems that this pay-cut is for the benefit of the investors - who I doubt will appreciate it as much as he expects. He could take deferred payment, use it to negotiate a bigger stake.
- Jyaif 5y agoConversely, the more people pay you, the more entitled you are.
- tweedledee 5y agoThe more entitled they expect you to be... which helps in framing negotiations. E.g. we have to pay MBA guy X dollars or he will be upset.
