Trouble Comes to Small Town

"The Last Stand" is a great flick. It aims lower than its contemporary works, and achieves much more. Classic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_of_the_Lepus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_of_the_Lepus https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stuff https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stuff is similar too; bridging the actual small town to the more common scifi version where our planet is the small town (Day the Earth Stood Still, etc.)
