Sweden has announced they are suspending use of Moderna in people under 30
- new_guy 5y agoAnd Slovenia has stopped using the J&J vaccine after it killed someone.[0] https://www.euronews.com/2021/09/29/slovenia-temporarily-suspends-use-of-johnson-johnson-covid-19-vaccine https://www.euronews.com/2021/09/29/slovenia-temporarily-sus...
- christmm 5y agoThis is obviously fake news. The vaccines are safe.
- smt88 5y agoContext for this unsourced tweet: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-vaccine-moderna-sweden-halts-use-in-under-30s/ https://www.cbsnews.com/news/covid-vaccine-moderna-sweden-ha... > "Despite the warning, doctors and researchers say they still strongly recommend that all Americans 12 and older get vaccinated, noting that the heart problems are uncommon and in most cases very mild." > "Two separate vaccine studies subsequently concluded, however, that COVID-19 itself poses a higher risk of symptoms, including heart inflammation, than the vaccines."
- adevx 5y agoMaybe if you are overweight or 60+. For me it is a simple risk assessment between an extremely low risk of getting a bad case of Covid19 and taking an experimental vaccine with unknown long term side effects, and apparently even short term side effects.
- smt88 5y agoIt's not a simple assessment at all. Thankfully medical researchers have studied millions of people and published the results, so we know with certainty that the risk of Covid is far greater than the risk of the vaccine. I understand why it seems scary, but almost half of all humans have gotten a Covid vaccine, some of them almost a year ago. We have really, really good data. https://publichealth.jhu.edu/2021/im-a-healthy-young-person-why-should-i-get-a-covid-vaccine https://publichealth.jhu.edu/2021/im-a-healthy-young-person-...
