- simonblack 5y agoFollowed by somebody else's (can't remember who, sorry. It was about 50 years ago.) "Shorter by one letter" story: "The last man on Earth sat alone in a room. There was a lock on the door." I venture to say that my version is even shorter. <grin> EDIT: Just for the hell of it, I put the 'shorter by one letter' into google with 'horror' and the first hit was http://www.rosenfels.org/FredricBrown http://www.rosenfels.org/FredricBrown The 'shorter' version was written by Ron Smith, back in 1957. I was a bit out in my dates, a decade or so more than my 50 years ago.
