I think it would be great if you could use screen time as a proxy for money. Give kids a screen time allowance, but let them earn interest on unused screen time. Let them do chores for extra time. Let them trade it with their siblings/friends. Kids don’t have that much use for money, and some families can’t afford to hand over any cash to them. Screen time on the other hand can be unlimited, but it something you do want to limit, and can be a useful tool for teaching delayed gratification.
