It seems that the author is operating under the assumption that if everyone is inside of their product, the world won't be fragmented anymore. People will be connected. Yes. They will be connected. To the product. We can do better than this dreary future. It is possible to connect people as peers, without the exploiting hands of intermediaries like the executive who wrote this statement.
