Why is twitter not letting people see and talk about this? What happened to discourse? I'm completely unsurprised that a tweet that shows how extreme our covid discourse/mitigations have become has been removed/deleted.

This is not a defense of Twitter's moderation policies around Covid issues in general, but the original tweet did have some PII of the administrator who sent the denial letter. A new version is up with the details redacted here: https://twitter.com/tgeitner/status/1445461608117927938 https://twitter.com/tgeitner/status/1445461608117927938

Which personal information did it have, specifically? Twitter has a history of defining PII very broadly when it suits them: https://jonathanturley.org/2021/04/11/twitter-censors-criticism-of-blm-founder-buying-1-4-million-home-in-predominantly-white-neighborhood/ https://jonathanturley.org/2021/04/11/twitter-censors-critic...

someone i knew died after covid complications after a kidney transplant. i believe he was un-vaccinated as well. It makes sense since transplants of any kind leave the patient severely immunocompromised, if they met some family friends or something during this time, the consequences could be grave.

A friend of mine had a kidney transplant this past summer. She was required to be vaccinated against covid (already had it). She also had to lose a significant amount of weight and pass several tests for blood pressure and other medical risks. They told her that they needed to ensure that whoever received a donor kidney would survive long enough to make it worth “spending” the kidney on, since they are in such short supply. That makes sense to me. If she had been a smoker who refused to stop, could not lose the weight, or not taken measures like getting the vaccine, she would have been considered unqualified.
