Is there a way to statically type check a Julia program? It would be really nice if the compiler threw an error on obviously wrong code.

- jakobnissen 5y agoYes - the package JET.jl. It's still in its early phases so it's pretty rough, but I use it daily at my job. There are a lot of caveats, though. Julia is fundamentally a dynamic language, so you can easily write code that works perfectly well but where the compiler has no idea what is going on before you run it. That code will not be statically analyzable.
