Pay a large upfront cost now and get rewarded/stuck with moderate priced electricity for fifty years, while you watch renewable electricity getting ever cheaper and then in fifty years pay an even larger cost for the cleanup (currently over £100 billion pounds in the UK and rising). A vote for nuclear now is a vote for a large bill due just when you want to retire... I like the theory but it may be they have just missed their window...
