- randiantech 5y agoSouth America and South Asia are not "free world"? What does that mean?
- spywaregorilla 5y agoPretty sure they're still gaining, slowly, in the US
- rmsaksida 5y agoI live in South America and virtually everyone I know has moved to Instagram. People still keep their FB profiles around but they don't use it much. Also, I was not aware I don't live in the "free world". You learn something new every day...
- FooBarBizBazz 5y ago"Free world", lol. Name checks out. Fair enough, but I think you meant "developed world". South America and SE Asia are both within the US sphere of influence, so I think they qualify as "free world". Which is to say, they're not aligned with the USSR. But who is these days? I correct myself: You wrote "S Asia", not "SE Asia"; that tends to be more "non-aligned", so... well, India was always hard to classify. They're key to Indo-Pacific strategy though, so y'know, best not let TikTok catch on there. Henry Kissinger + social media. The geopolitics of meme control. Sounds about right for 2021.
