I get excited about these kind of discoveries but improving my memory or even iq wouldn’t matter for me. It’s like upgrading the engine of a car that sits in the garage.
Upgrading my motivation is what I need most or even just finding the right things to work on.

- mrfusion 5y agoDon’t get me wrong. I have the standard motivation to function in life. It’s just the things you’d associate with great intelligence I don’t have motivation for. Like building a robot or doing research every day. It’s not a problem at all, I’m just saying I have no use for more intelligence because I wouldn’t use it for anything.

Vyvanse gives you the opportunity to focus, but the motivation still has to come from within. Or to put it another way, a wall street trader using cocaine[1] to work 100 hours a week is already motivated to work 100 hours a week, the drugs just enable the body and mind to do what the will already desires. [1] Different drug family than Vyvanse
- ddorian43 5y agoWell there are always ADHD drugs (if you have it). Otherwise, check therapy to find out and/or get help with it. If you really have ADHD and take the drugs, also use them + therapy to form good habits.
