That's false. It's correlated very highly with intelligence.
Moreover I'm not mounting a defence of the SAT here. I'm mounting a defence of meritocracy. I was merely pointing out that the SAT is the most meritocratic aspect of current admissions procedures given its very high correlation with intelligence, even if it is imperfect.
