It just feels like the worldliness and maturity is plummeting across the board, people deciding so brazenly and arrogantly that they know how the world should be ordered despite not even scratching the surface of adult life, all while making endless contradictions. The confidence or lack of upbringing/culture to curtail these impulses is what is so frustrating - it rots discussion as much as flaming does.
