Seems a well researched, well and accessibly written article. Worth a read. One of the major points - RAM latency can often be notably reduced with no ill effect on most addresses. It still boggles my mind, how RAM is expected supposed to be bit-perfect, on every read and write with no ECC. I wouldn't want to be tinkering with timings without ECC.
