New Babylon 5 reboot being developed by original creator J. Michael Straczynski
- pndy 5y agoThe B5 cast become quite "slim" in last years indeed but then, Claudia Christian can be heard in lots of places - she's for example recording for Arena.net's Guild Wars 2 as default voice of Norn female player character, as game develops its content. If JMS aims at BSG-like reboot then I wonder how different it will be from the original series... Galactica run really far away from the TOS show (tho, creators had a brief wicked idea of bringing original Starbuck character at some point, to connect two universes).
- chiph 5y agoOne of the good details about the original B5 was how the Starfury fighters used thrust correctly to orient themselves.
- mixmastamyk 5y agoA little bit worried, never liked “reboots.” Either be faithful or be different, splitting the difference makes the fans unhappy. Saving grace is having JMS involved.
- anotherman554 5y agoIt's really odd to see someone rebooting their own story. Either he'll make changes for change sake to make it fresh or the show may be boring since we'll know what happens. (JMS will hopefully still be good at writing Babylon 5 but he wrote some really crummy comic books over the years, and one of his last Babylon 5 project was an awful "A ripoff of the Movie The Exorcist but in SPACE!" episode which hopefully isn't a sample of what we can expect from here on.)
